5K9 DEL MAR ATHLETES: CHECK OUT YOUR RACE PHOTO'S FROM THE EVENT!!

The San Diego Petco 5k9 Walk Run Presented by Purina ProPlan will be held at the Wyland Center in the Del Mar Fairgrounds

Refund & Transfer Policies

All participant entries are non-refundable.

Transfers will be allowed up to 14 days prior to an event by clicking HERE.  After that time entry transfers will not be accommodated.

COURSE

 5k

The 5K is open to all walkers and runners, with or without their canine friends.  We designate 5K9 for all those who choose to walk or run with their best canine friends.  The start of the 5K or 5K9 is on the south side of the Del Mar Race track.   The course moves east from the start onto Jimmy Durante Boulevard and loops around the race track, with a short out and back section and turnaround on Coast Highway 101.   Runners, walkers and dogs continue the route along the west side of the race track, and then turn in towards a finish line along the south edge of the race track.

1-Mile

The 1 Mile course is also open to all walkers and runners, with or without their furry friends.  The start of the 1 mile course is the same as the 5K or 5K9 on the south side of the Del Mar Race track.   The course moves east from the start to the east edge of the race track.  Runners, walkers and dogs then turn around and come back west, turning in towards a finish line along the south edge of the race track

The Del Mar Fairgrounds are located at 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd, Del Mar, San Diego, California.

Parking

Parking is available in the main lot at the Del Mar Fair Grounds. Del Mar Fairgrounds parking is $9 payable upon entry.

Directions

From the I-5:

• Take Via De La Valle [Exit 36 ]
• Head West to the first stoplight and turn Left onto Jimmy Durante
• Parking is approximately .5-mile down on the Right

RESULTS & AWARDS

Results

A chip timed event where you and your pet get finish time credit.  No, your dog won’t wear the timing chip– you’ll still do that– but you’ll share the achievement.

Finisher results by Sportstats will be posted on this page as well as emailed to all participants within 24 hrs of the event.

Awards

Awards announced at 10:00 am on the expo stage at Wyland Center.
